Sacked AIADMK member Sasikala Pushpa refuses to relinquish RS post
New Delhi, Aug 1 (IBNS): Sacked AIADMK member, Sasikala Pushpa, who was thrown out of the party by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and party supremo J Jayalalithaa on Monday, refused to step down from the Upper House, reports said.
Sasikala, who courted controversy a few days ago after she slapped DMK MP Tiruchi Siva at the Delhi Airport, said she was slapped by her 'leader' and feels 'her dignity is under threat'.
She broke down while raising the matter in the Rajya Sabha on Monday.
Confirming her status within the party, a tweet from the official account of AIADMK read, "Sasikala Pushpa sacked from the party for bringing ill fame to the party - Puratchi Thalaivi Amma."
