#Narendra Modi greets nation on Mahavir Jayanti

New Delhi, Apr 19 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday wished the nation on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.

"On Mahavir Jayanti, we recall the pure thoughts & ideals of Lord Mahavir & reaffirm our commitment towards a harmonious & peaceful society," Modi tweeted.

The festival celebrates the birth of Mahavira, twenty fourth and the last Tirthankara of present time cycle.
