Maharashtra CM visits drought hit areas
Marathwada, Maharashtra, Mar 5 (IBNS) As an unprecedented drought unsettles parts of Maharashtra, CM Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday along with his other cabinet ministers visited the affected areas, taking note of the situation and dishing out several packages for the farmers, according to reports.
Fadnavis said that he is aware of the situation and is ready to take steps to reduce it.
He also announced a 50 percent compensation for farmers with no crop insurgence.
