Woman from Bengal allegedly gang-raped in Bihar
Muzaffarpur, Jan 1 (IBNS): A 30-year-old woman from West Bengal was allegedly gang-raped by five men in Bihars Muzaffarpur district on Sunday night, media reports said.
Police sources said that the woman had come to Bihar to visit her relatives.
When she arrived at a nearby railway station she was approached by five men there. The five men, including the driver of an additional district magistrate of Muzaffarpur, asked the woman to come along with them. They promised to drop her to her destination.
The woman later lodged a complaint. A case has been registered against the five accused. Reports said one person was arrested and the raids were on to nab the others.
Meanwhile, the victim was taken to the Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH) in Muzaffarpur for a medical examination on Monday, sources said.
