Chennai, Feb 23 (IBNS) : DMK working president M K Stalin will meet President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi on Thursday to make a presentation on behalf of his party on the incidents that took place in the Tamil Nadu assembly during the floor test on February 18, media reports said.
The DMK has already moved the Madra High Court and organised a one-day hunger strike protesting what they alleged the "illegal" way of conducting the trust vote that the E Palaniswamy Government won.
The Assembly was rocked by a turmoil late last week as the Speaker rejected the DMK demand for secret ballots in the trust vote.
The demand was backed also by the AIADMK rebel group, led by, O Paneerselvam.
Chairs were broken, tables overturned and the Speaker's microphone was yanked as DMK legislators went on a day-long rampage, forcing the Speaker to adjourn the proceedings twice keeping in suspension the floor test.
As he went ahead with his decision completing the trust voting that went heavily in favour of Palaniswamy, the DMK went for an all-out offensive both inside and outside the Assembly.
