Smart India Hackathon today, PM Modi to address participants
New Delhi, Apr 1 (IBNS) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Saturday address the world's largest hackathon via video conferencing in what is being seen as a part of the initiative to push for a Digital India.
According to reports, in all 1,266 teams of 10,000 shortlisted programmers from 28 states will compete in the 36-hour event finale across 26 locations in the country.
The event aims at solving problems of social importance.
The Government has identified 598 problems to be solved digitally.
According to reports, the top three teams with the best solutions will be awarded Rs. 1 lakh, Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000. The winners will also form the Community of Innovative Minds.
The awarded software will be used to improve governance system.
