SC agrees to hear CBSE plea seeking more time to re-conduct AIPMT exam
New Delhi, June 18 (IBNS): The Supreme Court has agreed to hear Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)'s plea seeking more time to re-conduct the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) examination.
The Board has said that it is "impossible" to conduct the examination within four weeks.
This comes three days after the Supreme Court scrapped the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) for admission to the MBBS course and directed the CBSE to conduct a fresh entrance examination within four weeks time.
The apex court had also directed all institutions concerned to extend cooperation in conducting a re-examination for the MBBS course.

The board was scheduled to declare the results on June 5 .
However, a group of students moved court seeking cancellation of the exam following news of the paper leak.
Around 6.3 lakh students appeared for the exam, of whom 3,722 will get admission to medical institutes across India.
