
Satish Kaushik's work will continue to entertain audiences: PM Modi mourns actor's demise
New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed grief over the demise of veteran actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik, and said his work will continue to entertain the audiences.
Taking to Twitter, the PM wrote, "Pained by the untimely demise of noted film personality Satish Kaushik Ji. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti."
"He was a creative genius who won hearts thanks to his wonderful acting and direction. His works will continue to entertain audiences," Modi said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur also took to the micro-blogging site and condoled the death of the veteran actor.
"Deeply saddened by the sudden demise of actor, director and writer Satish Kaushik Ji. My deepest condolences to his bereaved family and followers. Om Shanti Shanti," Shah said.
The Home Minister said his contribution to Indian cinema, artistic creations and performances will always be remembered.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur also conveyed his grief at the demise of the noted artist
"Satish Kaushik was an acclaimed actor and director who scripted some of the most memorable cinematic works of our time. He tickled fans with humour and his art will live on through his filmography. My condolences on his demise to his family and well wishers," Thakur said.
The veteran actor passed away on Thursday morning due to a heart attack.
