PM Modi sanctions compensation for those injured and for next of kin of those killed in floods in Assam and Rajasthan
Ahmedabad/New Delhi, Jul 31 (IBNS): According to tweet from the Prime Minister's Office on Monday, Narendra Modi has announced rupees two lakh each for the next of kin of those who have lost their lives in the floods in Assam and Rajasthan.
The Prime Minister has also announced Rs. 50,000 each for those seriously injured in the floods in both states.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani have been visiting the flood affected areas of his state and holding meetings with district officials, according to media reports.
According to a tweet from the Gujarat Chief Minister's office, the CM is camping in flood-hit Banaskantha and Patan districts to personally supervise the ongoing relief and restoration work.
On July 25, the Prime Minister conducted an aerial survey of the flood hit areas of Gujarat and sanctioned a compensation of rupees two lakh for those who died, and Rs 50,000 wfor those seriously injured from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, according to media reports.
