PM Modi congratulates BJP on foundation day
New Delhi, Apr 6 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on its foundation day.
"On the Sthapana Diwas of @BJP4India, I congratulate the entire family of BJP Karyakartas working across the length and breadth of India," the Prime Minister's tweet read.
Paying tribute to the former party workers, he said, "We recall with pride the hardwork of generations of BJP Karyakartas who built the Party brick by brick with the endeavour to serve society."
The Prime Minister also thanked the people of India for keeping faith in his party.
"It is a matter of pride that people across India & across all sections of society have placed their trust in BJP. Gratitude to the people," his tweet read.
Stating the motto of the party, the Prime Minister said, "Guided by the Mantra of Antyodaya, our efforts to serve India especially the poor & the marginalised continue with great vigour."
A right wing party, the BJP was founded in 1980.
Presently it's the world's largest political party in terms of primary membership.
