Never thought I would make it this far: Sindhu
Rio, Aug 20 (IBNS): Indian badminton star PV Sindhu, who won silver at the Olympics, said she never thought she will reach so far in the mega sports event of the year.
Spain's Carolina Marin defeated her 19-21, 21-12, 21-15 in the women's singles final to clinch gold.
Sindhu told NDTV: "Never thought I would make it this far. Overall I am on cloud nine at the moment, this feels amazing."
Sindhu won the second medal for India in the 2016 Olympics after wrestler Sakshi Malik won the bronze medal after a grueling encounter.
