Kerala : Opposition UDF candidate poised for massive victory in Malappuram LS bypoll
Malappuram, Kerala, Apr 17 (IBNS) : The opposition United Democratic Front is poised for a massive victory in the Malappuram Lok Sabha by-election as its candidate has taken a massive lead, reports said.
According to the latest trends available, PK Kunhalikutty of the Congress-led UDF is maintaining an unassailable lead of over 3 lakh votes against closest rival - CPI-M's MB Faisal. The BJP candidate is running in the third position.
The bypoll, held on April 12, was necessitated following the death of E Ahamed, former Union Minister and leader of IUML, a key partner in the Congress-led UDF Opposition in Kerala.
