High-level BJP-RSS meeting today
New Delhi, Sep 2 (IBNS) A three-day meeting between the to brass of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is scheduled to take place in the national capital on Wednesday.
Reports said the meeting is expected to take up for discussion the upcoming Bihar elections, the stalemate over the One Rank One Pension scheme and the Patel reservation protests in Gujarat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi may also attend the event.
The meeting is also likely to discuss a recent statement by Vice President Hamid Ansari, seeking affirmative action from the government, which espouses the policy of growth for all. According to the Vice President, security, education and empowerment in decision making are the principal problems confronting India's Muslims.
The RSS took of the Vice President's statement, saying that if Muslims want to be treated equally, they should demand equal laws first.
