Farmer's daughter commits suicide, urges bank to not bother her father for money
Mumbai, Oct 26 (IBNS): With no money left with her parents to pay for her bus ride pass to school, a Class 11 student in Maharashtra's Latur has committed suicide, leaving a suicide note for a bank and private money lenders to not bother her father, reports said.
On Oct 14, the 16-year-old girl went to her father's dried up tomato farm with her friends and allegedly drank pesticide kept in a shed.
In her suicide note to bank and other private lenders, she reportedly wrote: "Please don't bother my father, he will return your money."
She also mentioned that her parents did not have money to even pay for her bus ride to school. The girl was allegedly upset over missing classes in school ahead of her exams.
Banking on the issue, the Shiv Sena party has blamed its ally-BJP-in Maharashtra for failing to help farmers ruined by drought.
