New Delhi, Feb 6 (IBNS) : Members of the Congress and Left parties staged a walkout from the Lok Sabha on Monday as it witnessed a ruckus over the Government's handling of E Ahameds death forcing Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to briefly adjourn the House, reports said.
The trouble began after Mahajan did not allow the Opposition to raise the issue in the question hour.
Before the session began, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi joined Kerala MPs outside Parliament in their protest against the Government. Earlier,
According to reports, Congress MP K C Venugopal and Revolutionary Socialist Party MP N K Premachandram moved an adjournment motion in Lok Sabha over the alleged ill-treatment meted out to Ahmed's family in hospital and the late announcement of his death.
Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu claimed that the Opposition is trying to politicise the issue and that the Government is ready to address it when raised.
Ahmed had collapsed in Parliament and died in hospital on February 1, the budget day.
