Bihar poll announcement this week, likely in five to seven phases
New Delhi, Sept 8 (IBNS) The Election Commission of India is likely to announce Bihar poll dates this week.
Reports said the poll could be conducted in five to seven phases from mid-October.
However, it will be available on the basis of availability of central forces.
Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party had walked out of the Janata Parivar in Bihar following differences over sharing of seats to be contested.
Battle lines have clearly been drawn with the JD(U)-RJD-Congress alliance taking on the BJP and its allies prepared to fight the high voltage poll.
The anti-BJP alliance has projected Nitish Kumar as Chief Ministerial candidate while the BJP banks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's charisma to earn victory for the party.
