
Bangalore child rape: Chairman of school arrested
Bangalore, July 23 (IBNS): The Bangalore police have arrested the chairman of the uspcale school where a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped on July 2 by two school staff, including a skating instructor who has been arrested earlier.
Rustam Kherawalla, the chairman of the Vibgyor High School, has been arrested, for failing to give security to the girl, said new Bangalore police commissioner MN Reddi.
"He should have checked the security of the girl and hence under Juvenile Justice Act he is liable," said Reddi.
The school chairman would also be charged with destruction of evidence, said police.
Earlier skating instructor Mustafa was arrested for the rape and it was found that he had been sacked by another school Deen's Academy for inappropriately touching girls.
Child pornography videos, especially on school children rape, was found in the laptop and mobile of the skating instructor.
Skating instructor Mustafa, also known as Munna, was working with the school since 2011. He was arrestedon Sunday last.
According to media reports, Mustafa is married and has a small daughter.
Police said the videos unveil his state of mind.
Earlier, angry parents had also stormed the school when the management refused to take responsibility of the incident though it happened during school hours.
