AIADMK to give issue-based support to BJP?
New Delhi/Chennai, May 31 (IBNS) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) might provide issue-based support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in the Rajya Sabha, said reports on Saturday.
"Sources say this support is in return for development packages for Tamil Nadu and that as of now, the AIADMK is not joining the NDA," reported CNN-IBN.
According to reports, the BJP has offered AIADMK to join the NDA.
Meanwhile, Jayalalithaa will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 3.
According to reports, in her first meeting with the new PM, Jayalalithaa will submit a memorandum to Modi listing important issues related to Tamil Nadu that are lying unsolved at the Centre.
Jayalalithaa boycotted Modi's swearing-in ceremony on May 26 in the wake of his invite to Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksa to attend the function.
