Adarsh scam: Tewari apologizes to Gadkari
New Delhi, Apr 30 (IBNS) Congress leader and Union Minister Manish Tewari on Wednesday tendered an unconditional apology to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari for allegedly defaming him.
On Apr 7, a magistrate court in Mumbai asked Tewari to pay a bond of Rs 10,000 to Gadkari in connection with the defamation case.
Gadkari filed a defamation suit against Tewari in December 2010 after the latter accused him of possessing an 'illegal' flat inAdarsh Housing Society.
Adarsh, the 30-storey apartment building, housing many top level defence officials, was built on a disputed army land at Colaba in Mumbai and it was alleged that the flats meant for the families of the Kargil martyrs were allotted to top defence officials and kins of politicians.
