Ten die of swine flu in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Jan 21 (IBNS) Swine flu, the dreaded viral disease that rages through Telengana, has claimed 10 lives this month with 3 more deaths being reported.
Official reports on Wednesday that two of the latest deaths took place in Osmania hospital, while another died in the state-run Gandhi hospital, the nodal centre for treating swine flu.
So far, 185 people have been tested positive for the H1N1 virus to be affected by the disease.
The Indian Medical Association has issued a set of guidelines to tackle swine flu and made people aware of its symptoms. It has urged the people not to neglect minor cases of fever with breathlessness.
Experts say the virus was active because of the persisting cold weather and it would lose strength once the temperature goes up.
Doctors say the best precautionary measure against the viral attack is to wearing face masks, since vaccination needs two to three weeks to be active in body.
