Pak intruder shot dead by BSF at Gurdaspur border
Amritsar, Mar 27 (IBNS) : An alleged Pakistani intruder was shot dead by Border Security Force (BSF) jawanst on Monday when e he was trying to sneak into the Indian territory in Punjab's Gurdaspur, reports said.
The incident took place around 6 30 am when BSF personnel on-duty spotted some movement ahead of the fence at the international border near the Paharipur border post in Gurdaspur sector.
According to reports, they opened fire when the alleged intruder did not respond to repeated calls.
Security forces have launched a search operation in the region.
It is not immediately known whether the intruder was alone or had his associates.
