New Delhi, Apr 27 (IBNS) The Supreme Court will hear on Wednesday the central government's plea against the April 21 verdict of the Uttarakhand High Court that revoked revoked President's rule in the state and ordered a floor test on April 29.
The apex court stated that the matter is serious and a High Court cannot revoke President's rule 'just like that'.
The SC bench, comprising Justice Dipak Mishra and Shiva Kirti Singh was quoted in the media as saying, "You don’t revoke President’s rule just like that. The files should have been called for. How much deliberation has gone into the issue? This is a serious matter."
