Tribal community India's pride: PM Modi pays homage to Birsa Munda
New Delhi, Nov 15 (IBNS): On the birth anniversary of prominent Indian tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tribute to him while stating that the tribal community is India's pride.
"I bow to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his Jayanti. His indomitable courage is a source of motivation," the Prime Minister's tweet read.
In an ensuing tweet, he said, "Inspired by the life of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, we are working towards empowerment of our tribal communities, who are India’s pride."
