Supreme Court rejects plea for transfer of beef ban case to Jammu
Kolkata, Oct 14 (IBNS) The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition seeking the hearing on the Jammu and Kashmir beef ban to be heard by a three-judge bench of the high court at Jammu.
A two-member bench comprising Chief Justice HL Dattu and Justice Arun Mishra dismissed the plea, which expressed apprehension over the law and order situation if the hearing was held in Srinagar
While rejecting the plea, Chief Justice Dattu said that he had spoken to Justice N Paul Vasanta Kumar, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Chief Justice, Tuesday night and he had said that there was no apprehension of a law and order problem if the hearing took place in Srinagar
