Priyanka Chaturvedi-Smriti Irani fight on twitter turns worse
New Delhi, May 23 (IBNS) The fight between Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi and Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani took turn for the worse as the two ladies had a 'no hold barred' exchange on Twitter, regarding Congress VP Rahul Gandhi and Irani's security.
Reacting to a tweet from a fellow user, "When @priyankac19 is trolled, it is an attack on 'dignity of women'but poisonous slander against @smritiirani is acceptable," Priyanka responded with, "Ms @ShefVaidya a perceived threat to @smritiirani 's life gets Z sec, here I am struggling to get rape/death threat investigated.cut the crap."
The tweet reportedly started the tussle between Irani and Chaturvedi.
In a riposte, Irani cleared the status of her security, further inviting tweets from the latter.
"@priyankac19 I don't have Z security Madam," Irani said.
Stating information from the newspapers as her source, Priyanka said that she wasn't fully aware but mocked the minister by saying, "Madam I don't know the internal workings of Home Ministry, i go as per newspaper reports. I presume no security at all then@smritiirani ?," to which Irani responded, "@priyankac19 why are you so interested in my security? Planning anything?"
The plot thickened after Chaturvedi asked Irani to concentrate on creating another campus Ruckus.
"Not worth my time , so don't worry on that front @smritiirani , you must concentrate on creating another campus ruckus," she said.
An irked Irani did not take too kindly of the tweet and reminded the Congress spokesperson of the recent poll result where they lost in Assam.
"@priyankac19 dats more Rahulji's forte. Oh wait, losing Assam is. My bad. Have a good day," Irani tweeted.
A last tweet from Chaturvedi read, "Repeatedly losing and yet becoming a minister in the cabinet is your forte. You have a glorious day too @smritiirani."
