President condoles the loss of lives caused by Cyclone Hudhud
New Delhi, Oct 16 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday condoled the loss of lives and damage to property caused by the Cyclone Hudhud in various districts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
In his message to Governor of Andhra Pradesh E.S.L. Narasimhan and Governor of Odisha Dr. S.C. Jamir, President said: “I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives and damage to property caused by the Cyclone Hudhud in various districts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, particularly in Visakhapatnam. My thoughts are with all those affected by this natural calamity. I understand rescue and relief operations are currently underway. I am sure that the State Government and other authorities are making all efforts to bring relief to those affected and also provide assistance to the people who have incurred losses. Please convey my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. I pray to the Almighty to give strength and fortitude to the families to bear this irreparable loss.”
