Overnight firing by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba sector
Jammu, Oct 24 (IBNS) In a fresh ceasefire violation after a lull of more than one month Pakistan rangers resorted to overnight firing on nine border outposts along the international border in Samba sector of Jammu district engaging the Border Security Force in an exchange of fire, reports said.
Pakistani troops had resorted to unprovoked firing on Friday in Samba sector, killing one civilian and injuring two others.
The BSF retaliated immediately and the exchange of fire started.
Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Nirmal Singh, on Friday said that Pakistan Rangers opened fire at the BSF posts when the fencing was being repaired.
