Make in India fire mishap was frightening: Amitabh Bachchan
Mumbai, Feb 15 (IBNS) Actor Amitabh Bachchan has said the fire mishap during a cultural event of the Make in India week programme was 'frightening'.
Bachchan performed in the event.
" First Off : I am safe and well .. a providential escape from fire at Make in India event where i had just finished performing !" Bachchan tweeted.
"What happened at event ? I just finished my performance got off stage and sat in my car and left .. just then fire on stage broke !Production was wanting me to stay & go back on to meet the CM .. had I gone back would have been caught in fire .. providential," the actor said.
"But its God's grace that immediate action was taken and the fire brought under control .. and no casualties !! But frightening !!" he said.
A massive fire broke out during a cultural programme of the Make In India week event in Mumbai on Sunday.
14 fire engines,10 water tankers rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
No one has been hurt in the incident.
Several celebrities and politicians were present at the spot when the fire broke out, reports said.
The venue was evacuated immediately after flames were spotted, officials said.
