ISIS confirms the death of senior leader Omar the Chechen
New Delhi, July 14 (IBNS): The Islamic State (ISIS) on Wednesday admitted that a senior leader known as Omar the Chechen is dead, confirming months of speculation by the US government, according to reports.
Abu Omar al-Shishani was regarded by the US government as ISIS' minister of war. The fringe unit confirmed the news through their mouth piece Amaq.
Omar is said to be killed in an air raid conducted by the US government a few months ago.
