Autorickshaw drivers call for a day's strike in Mumbai
Mumbai, Feb 15 (IBNS) Protesting against private taxi company Ola and Uber, the autorickshaw drivers of Mumbai have called for a day's strike on Monday, according to reports.
The strike called by Mumbai Autorickshawmen's Union (MAU), is said to cause inconvenience to commuters as a lakh auto will not ply for the day.
Reacting to the situation, Thampy Kurien, rival union leader was quoted as saying by TOI, "We do not support the strike and will try to ply autos on share routes. But if there is a law and order problem, we may be compelled to stay off out of fear."
